How much does a student sponsorship cost?
Each student sponsorship share is $36/month or $432/year. Three shares fully fund one student’s scholarship. You may choose a student to follow and can sponsor as many shares or students as you’d like.

What does my donation provide for my student?
Your gift helps provide a Christ-centered, transformational education for students at eduKenya. Sponsorship funds are pooled with other donations to ensure that all students—both sponsored and unsponsored—receive the resources, mentorship, and discipleship they need to thrive.

While you will follow one student’s journey, your generosity impacts an entire community of learners.

How long does a student sponsorship last?
We ask sponsors to commit to at least one year. However, we encourage sponsors to continue supporting their student throughout their time at eduKenya’s schools.

What will I receive throughout the year?
After beginning your sponsorship, you will receive a student profile and a welcome letter from our team.

Throughout the year, you will receive multiple updates:

  A current profile
  A creative project or work from the student
  Growth Report from your student's teacher

These updates are designed to give you meaningful insight into your student’s growth and experience.

Can I communicate with my sponsored student?
You are welcome to send a message to [email protected], and our team will share it with students in a way that is appropriate and encouraging.

To protect students and maintain healthy boundaries, eduKenya does not facilitate direct or ongoing personal communication between sponsors and students. Students will not send individual replies.

  Be mindful of a student’s age and maturity
  Do not expect or request a direct response
  Be sensitive to cultural differences
  Seek to uplift and affirm students

Can I send a gift to my sponsored student?
No, gifts may not be sent directly to students or through our office. This policy helps ensure fairness, protects student dignity, and keeps the focus on community-wide impact rather than individual material support.

What’s the difference between sponsoring a student and giving monthly to eduKenya?
Student sponsorship allows you to follow the story of a specific student and gain a deeper, more personal understanding of the impact of your giving. At the same time, all sponsorship funds are used collectively to support the entire student body through education, mentorship, and discipleship.

General monthly giving remains essential and supports the broader mission and operations of eduKenya.

What happens if a student I sponsor leaves eduKenya?
If your sponsored student is no longer part of eduKenya, we will notify you promptly. You may choose to transfer your sponsorship to another student with a similar profile or select a different student.
