Summer of Sponsorship

Mother Teresa once said, “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” Small and sometimes seemingly insignificant actions people make, can have a profound cumulative impact in the world.
When we first started our work as the Kenya Children Project in 2007, we started small. We had 27 students in makeshift shack classrooms in and around the Believers Centre Church in the Jangwani village of Mathare.
We started small ‘creating ripples’ of change and hope in a vast ocean of poverty and despair. Over time, more students, staff and supporters have joined us.
Today, we currently serve 330 students from our Mawewa Preschool through to our Chelezo High School, across two facilities in Mathare and Wote. One of those students is Jeff.
This summer, our goal is to add 50 new sponsors for students just like Jeff.
The need in Mathare is great, but you can make a difference. When you commit to sponsoring a student, your monthly gift joins others just like it, creating new ripples, growing our impact in Mathare. Would you consider sponsoring a student today?
