Networking

Networking

In Kenya, the education system has long emphasized exams and test preparation over practical, hands-on learning, which is a weakness that continues to drive repeated changes to the national curriculum. In eduKenya's schools, we have been creatively working within the Kenyan curriculum to provide as practical an education as we possibly can, to equip our students with skills for the real world.

This week, students at Chelezo rolled up their sleeves in Computer Studies for a hands-on networking lesson with their teacher Mr. Mulwa. Our students installed actual network wiring in their classroom and brought textbook concepts to life. By connecting devices and watching information flow between them in real time, the excitement in the room was palpable. Abstract ideas like data sharing and network architecture suddenly became tangible and real.

This is the power of experiential learning, and it's at the heart of everything we do at eduKenya. When students don't just memorize facts but actually build, create, and problem-solve with their own hands, the learning goes deeper. Our students aren't just preparing for exams, but are also developing the practical skills and confidence they'll need to become the IT professionals, entrepreneurs, and innovators Kenya needs. The student carefully measuring cable lengths today, could be the network engineer securing critical infrastructure tomorrow.

Your partnership makes moments like these possible.

When you support eduKenya, you're not just funding education, you're investing in transformative, hands-on learning experiences that unlock potential and create pathways out of poverty. Would you consider making a gift today to ensure even more students can learn by doing?
