Field Report: September 2025

Field Report: September 2025

Summer is approaching in Nairobi, and our students are busy preparing for their final exams. They’re working hard (late-night study sessions, flashcards, and review groups), but we know they need more than academic success. They need lasting hope and guidance that extends beyond the classroom.

As our final weeks with students unfold, we gratefully remember you. Our students have the materials they need to study but also the mentors and discipleship that point them to the true Guide who steadies them in every season. Thank you for helping fill their desks.

Enjoy this month’s Field Report!

Exams & the Next Stages

As students complete primary, junior secondary, and high school, they sit for national exams at the end of Grades 6, 9, and 12. These exams carry great weight, and many students feel the pressure as the dates approach.
Prayer request: Please pray for peace and discipline as our students prepare, and for our staff as they study alongside and encourage them in this important season.

Prayer Day at Chelezo High

To prepare the minds and hearts of our senior students, we held our annual Prayer Day. Each year, we thank the Lord for providing them the opportunity to attend our program for as long as they have, and ask God for favor, wisdom, and blessing during their last exam season.
Prayer request: for our students would root themselves in truth, and perform as best as they are able.

From Preschool to Primary School

Our oldest class at Mawewa Pre-Primary will transition to 1st grade at Mawewa Primary School. The school building will be new for them, and mark a significant milestone in their young lives. We plan to celebrate this rite of passage on October 23rd!
Prayer request: that these young students would look forward with enthusiasm instead of fear. Please pray that they would have zero financial or social barriers as they advance in our program.

Healing for a Beloved Teacher

One of our teachers, and Primary School Deputy, has broken her leg. She has gotten the proper treatment, and we hope she gets well soon!
Prayer request: that her leg would heal swiftly, and that our staff would serve her in the recovery process.
