Elections: March 13, 2026

Elections: March 13, 2026

Recently, our students at Mawewa Primary School held elections for their student body representatives. The students enjoyed a practical civics lesson through the election process as each student carefully considered their options before casting their vote.

This hands-on experience gave our students a small but significant glimpse into the voting process, one we hope will plant seeds of understanding that will grow with them into adulthood, as they become engaged citizens in their communities and nation.

The election was equally valuable for those who chose to run for office. Students like William W. from Grade 9, who was elected President, and Delainey M. from Grade 7, our newly elected Deputy President, demonstrated courage and commitment by stepping forward to serve their peers. For these young leaders and all the other student body representatives who were elected, the process taught them about responsibility, public service, and the trust that comes with leadership. Whether casting a ballot or standing for office, every student at Mawewa learned something vital about making wise choices and accepting the responsibilities that come with those choices.

Your partnership makes these kinds of formative experiences possible for our students at eduKenya's schools. Your generosity ensures that more students can learn these essential life lessons about responsibility, wise decision-making, and servant leadership that will stay with them throughout their lives. Would you consider partnering with us today to help develop the next generation of thoughtful, responsible leaders?
