"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord..." - Colossians 3:23 (NIV)

After an almost month-long break in August, the month of September has seen our students work hard to return to the disciplines and routines of academic life. At eduKenya’s Mawewa Primary School, our learners dove straight into their opener exams during their second week back. These assessments help us understand exactly where each child stands academically, ensuring we can provide the targeted support they need to succeed.

Our Junior Secondary School students also participated in transformative mentorship sessions designed specifically for their wellbeing and smooth transition back to learning. Working in small collaborative groups, they engaged in meaningful discussions about re-establishing positive routines, setting intentional goals, and creating a supportive learning environment together.

The tools they garnered from the mentorship sessions were invaluable to our students as they worked together to define and pursue shared objectives for the term ahead.

These activities represent more than just back-to-school preparations, they are stepping stones toward breaking the cycle of poverty through education. Each exam, each mentorship session, and each goal set is made possible by supporters like you who believe in the transformative power of education.
Will you help us continue this vital work? Your donation today ensures our students can maintain this momentum throughout the term, providing them with the resources, mentorship, and academic support they need to transform not only their own lives but their entire community.

Together, we're not just educating children, we are empowering the next generation to break the cycle of poverty in Mathare.
